7kW tethered charger for a Harpenden detached home — garage wall installation with off-peak scheduling and a dedicated 32A circuit.
This Harpenden family had recently switched to an electric vehicle and wanted convenient overnight charging without trailing cables across the driveway.
We mounted a 7kW tethered charger on the garage wall beside the parking space, running a dedicated 6mm² circuit from the consumer unit with appropriate RCD protection.
The charger was configured for off-peak charging via the manufacturer's app, giving the owners lower-cost overnight top-ups ready for the morning school run.
